Observation 28:  Sent to Sue Essex A.M.
I have only today become aware of a proposal to restrict parking within the Snowdonia National Park. I understand that visitors will be required to park on the perimeter of the park and use a park and ride scheme.

This presents serious logistical problems for visitors such as my friends and I.

On a typical day out we would leave home early to arrive at Capel Curig, Ogwen or Pen-y-Pass for 0800, enabling a long and enjoyable circular walk of the tops, followed by dinner at one of the local pubs before heading home to Manchester.

If we are to lose an hour or more at each end of the day whilst we park and wait and ride, a Snowdonia day out will no longer be viable and we shall spend our days in the more visitor friendly Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or Peak District.

You will appreciate that from the large conurbations there is a choice open to hillwalkers as there are a number of areas almost equidistant to Snowdonia.

I therefore wish to register my objection to the proposed scheme and hope that the appropriate authority will reconsider.
