The group was formed on 8 January, 2002 to prepare a response to the Snowdonia Green Key Strategy document by the revised deadline of 4 March 2002.

Most of the observations shown here have been sent directly to the Snowdonia Green Key Project Officer with a copy to Freedom to Choose - Snowdonia.
We think it is important that you can see the kind of observations being made  and form your own opinions about them (open government or even E-Government!).  Most are also displayed here anonymously - the arguments should stand or fall by the points expressed and not be coloured by any pre-judgement about who makes them. All the more important then, If your observations have not been sent directly, you should do so
(see also Observation 40).
The decision process for obtaining European Objective One funding requires evidence of positive public support.  You might wish to make your views known to your elected representatives.  There are links from our Addresses page that will help you obtain the information you need to do this. There are also questionnaires you can complete and distribute.
The Freedom to choose - Snowdonia group will make a response which will attempt to consolidate the points made here into a single response so keep them coming! To add strength to our campaign it would help if you would support us.
(Thanks to all of you from all over the country who are joining)

We would particularly appreciate constructive suggestions as to what might be included in a plan for sustainable development.

We would also like to emphasise that the Snowdonia Green Key Strategy Statement is a consultation document. This means that Park & Ride and restrictions on parking are proposals only – they are not about to be implemented.

The communities in this area need your support so please continue to visit! and enjoy yourselves while doing so.
